Last month I received an inquiry who requested a hydraulic breaker for JCB backhoe. The inquiry was from Mauritius where we happened not to locate an authorized distributor there. Shijin Machinery, DN brand.

Though it was quite a small order I decided to take it seriously. As this was exactly how we established many dealership relationships around the world, which virtually bears our motto, “each client counts most”.

As negotiation proceeded I found out it was a challenging request since the hydraulic hammer needed to be customized, in order to match the carrier(I guessed the backhoe had been refitted then).

Normally the hydraulic hammer for JCB design goes like this.

A customized order

This one is not normal, but with customized requests with 3 changes.

1. The bracket needs a gap on the top.
2. The dimension of the side pin holes needs customized
3.2 extra side bolts are necessary for consolidation purposes.

We decided to take the order and do whatever we can to fulfill the requirement. To make it more specific we asked our engineering designer to make a draft, as below.

Sample confirmed

Once confirmed all dimensions we began the order.

Frankly, it was a piece of cake for our workshop, since we have quite experienced engineers in industry and over 20 years of manufacturing and design experience, 3 days later we finished the shell.

The client was happy to see the sample, the gap on top of the bracket, customized pin hole dimensions, and the 2 extra side bolts are all set.

Everything was ready, it was time to get it off the ground!

2 days later the hammer was well-done and we sent him the picture to confirm. Our client couldn’t be happier, astonished at our efficiency and precision.

1. The gap on the bracket is cut according to the backhoe dimensions, now it could fit smoothly with the carrier.
2. The pin size is made exactly as the request, for exact connection.
3.2 extra side bolts are set up, now it could handle tough situations without concern.
4. The half-moon hole was made wider, by our private suggest, to ensure easy installation and taking off.

The whole process lasted within 1 week, and he was quite satisfied with the result.

A new journey

The deal was closed, but our cooperation was just beginning.
